WELDING, FABRICATION AND PRODUCTION SUPERVISORS NEEDED Summary: Tiger Manufacturing is seeking experience Welding, Fabrication and Production Supervisors for it's facility in Abilene, TX. This position will directly manage and supervise staff in the welding and fabrication department. Prior welding and supervisory experience required. Responsibilities: Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in welding and cutting of products and structures applying knowledge of cutting techniques, materials, equipment, and fabrication requirements. Maintain a safe work place and ensure employees follow all EHS (Environmental, health & Safety) rules. Attend and conduct safety and training meetings, analyze jobs to identify potential safety risks. Complete required documents and coordinate with team and department manager. Time sheets and work orders to be reviewed completed and directed to the appropriate recipient in a timely manner. Monitor, and record, employee attendance and performance. Be a role model in attendance, work ethic, time utilization and quality standards. Maintains staff job results by selecting, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results. Conduct employee training in equipment operations or work and safety procedures, or assign employee training to experienced workers. Interpret specifications, blueprints, job orders, and company policies and procedures for workers. Completes department operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees and identifying needed materials for each project. Inspect materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions. Confer with other supervisors to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments. Follow project status through all departments, supervise testing, trouble shoot system malfunctions. Report progress to immediate superior and request intervention to ensure completion to schedule Maintains physical condition of department area, tools and equipment by planning and implementing new design layouts, inspecting equipment, issuing requests for repair and requisitions for replacement. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Coordinates with upper management. Other duties as assigned Required Skills: -Must have a strong work ethic with a positive attitude -Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English -Must have reliable transportation to and from work -Must be able to meet the physical demands of this position, with or without reasonable accommodation -Must be willing to learn and strictly follow all company safety procedures -Must be a dependable person, since you will be an important part of our team Education and Experience: -Successful competition and certification in welding from a technical school or equivalent experience required -Plasma, oxygen and acetylene experience -Blue print reading and fit up skills -Previous management or supervisory experience required Must pass hair follicle drug screen.
