Manufacturing Systems Database Developer
**General Description**

Please follow the link below to apply and a ManpowerGroup recruiter will connect with you on next steps: This role is primarily focused on supporting manufacturing system databases with a secondary responsibility of data interface engineering. Some duties include planning, verifying and executing change points for databases that support daily operations. This person will focus on the Oracle database platform with support for global code deployment projects and new development while ensuring database stability and performance. They will also interact with Microsoft SQL Server. As a part of the data management and reporting team, data engineering is also a key responsibility. Specific Job Duties:
* Review database change point scripts and edit or optimize if necessary to execute in a safe manner
* Perform query optimizations for slow running SQL statements
* Assist system developers with database migrations and object creation scripts
* Support database maintenance activities such as database statistics analysis and object standardization with other lines in global manufacturing network
* Troubleshoot and resolve database related issues such as table locks, timing issues and dependencies
* Assemble, deploy and maintain complex datasets that meet business requirements
* Manage optimal data pipelines from multiple sources such as Tibco Rendezvous, Oracle database, flat files etc.
**Necessary Skills / Attributes**
* Bachelor's of Science Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other Engineering major
* 3-5 years of related experience
* Expert with Oracle databases
* 3-5 years of programming experience with Oracle
* 1-3 years of programming experience with MS SQL Server
* 1-3 years of experience in UNIX (AIX, SunOS, Linux) and Windows environment.
* Preferred experience with SQL optimization techniques
* Preferred experience with Oracle PL/SQL
* Preferred experience with ETL best practices and tools like Tibco BusinessWorks or Informatica PowerCenter
