Equipment Technician (Cleans Ops) - Compressed Work Week
**General Description**
Compressed Work Week: Scheduled for 12 hour shifts, Sun - Tues & alternating Saturdays (7pm - 7am) Responsible for performing functions associated with all manufacturing and/or system operations, such as working with engineers and manufacturing in set-up and calibration tasks, system support, preventative maintenance, failure analysis, documenting/following standard operating procedures, as well as performing rework and quality testing related to the process and production of memory chips and logic. Uses sophisticated programs to collect and evaluate operating data to conduct in-line adjustments to products, instruments, equipment, or processes. Determines and may assist in developing methods and procedures to control or modify the manufacturing process. Requires compliance with all health, safety and environmental management system guidelines.
* Preventative Maintenance (PM)/Change Point Management (CPM)/System Maintenance: Follows standard operating procedures to ensure equipment/ processes/systems are running effectively
* Troubleshooting: Conducts failure analysis and follows scripts to troubleshoot and anticipate future failures
* Monitor Equipment/Process: Monitors equipment and processes in current state and proactively looks for ways to improve processes
* Teamwork and Communication: Able to work well in a team environment and effectively communicate throughout organization
**Necessary Skills / Attributes**
* 2 year college degree or technical school certification preferred
* At least 5 years of related experience
* Semiconductor or high volume manufacturing experience preferred
* Completes tasks in innovative and effective ways
* Performs Advanced Preventative/ Corrective Maintenance: Develops new methods for corrective maintenance/repairs. Tasked with completing PM/CPM improvement projects
* Identifies areas of business process improvement opportunities and provides input as to which improvement projects need to be pursued
* Troubleshoots, down to root cause, highly complex issues that lower level Technicians are unable to resolve
* Decides which type of maintenance is needed, selects parts for replacement
* Reviews and submits vendor invoices and payments
* Mentors/Trains lower level Technicians
* Understands interactions with other departments in activities such as maintenance scheduling
* Leads pass-down and other meetings
* May participate on cross-functional teams
* Serves as liaison between Sr. Staff and other Technicians - communicates and represents SAS company initiatives
* Involved on projects beyond sustaining
* Demonstrates innovation by offering new solutions, designs, and measurements
* Must have strong multivariable analytical skills
* Understands manufacturing indices
