Please follow the link below to apply and a ManpowerGroup recruiter will connect with you on next steps We are seeking a Control Systems Engineer that is self-motivated to produce quality improvements and innovative engineering support serving various internal and external stakeholders. The Engineering duties of the group are demanding with focus on safety, high system availability, standardization, incident elimination, and equipment maintenance. The Control Systems Engineer will focus on providing ownership and technical expertise for various PLC/SCADA systems for the Gas, Chemical, & Slurry (GCS) department. Responsibilities
* Develop innovative projects focused on improving the reliability and operation of GCS PLC/SCADA systems.
* Writes & modifies program code; creates program code in a logical manner that is easily understood by others.
* Develop site standards and Functional Descriptions to ensure GCS PLC/SCADA systems meet requirements.
* Monitors PLC/SCADA systems, software releases & responds to alerts.
* Troubleshoots basic PLC/SCADA issues, traces problems & provides solutions.
* Provides effective change control management of GCS PLC/SCADA systems.
* Design, engineer, support and implement capital improvement projects as per site specifications.
* Consults with customers to understand requests & needs; communicates with customers about feasibility of requests & timelines.
* Evaluate process requirements and specification of new gas and chemical delivery systems as they relate to areas of responsibility.
* Provide direction and oversight of large embedded contractor technical staff.
* Communicates technical information within the department through presentations.
**Necessary Skills / Attributes**
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or a related field.
* 7+ years hands-on experience with PLC/SCADA systems engineering experience with advanced knowledge of IEC 61131-3 PLC programming languages (Ladder Diagram, Function Block Diagram, Structured Text) and ANSI/ISA-101.01-2015 standard for Human-Machine Interfaces.
* Possess strong working knowledge of industrial networks and communication protocols (i.e. Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Profibus, ControlNet).
* Ability to analyze large volumes of data, identify issues and provide solutions to closure.
* Effective organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills. Must be able to coordinate and communicate technical information to and from all levels of the organization.
* Able to influence up, down, and across the organization to create and drive change.
* A history of "hands-on" approach to problem solving and countermeasure implementation within own areas of responsibility.
* Proactive and self-driven approach to overcome challenges and achieve results.
* Experience working at an industrial manufacturing facility .
* Professional Engineer license or FE/EIT a plus.
